CLIMATE AND AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN BHUTAN

Because of the vast difference in altitude and the north Indian Monsoons, the climate in Bhutan widely varies. Bhutan experiences spring season starting in March till April. Then starts the summer season which continues till late August. Then starts the autumn season and finally the winter season which starts from late November. In colder places the winter season is characterized bright, sunny days and also some snowfalls at higher elevations. Frost starts to cover the valleys from late November in higher elevations. The winter northeast monsoon brings strong wind at the higher altitudes in Bhutan.
